Happy birthday to Jason who turns 31 this Tuesday!
For us, it means crab! At PPQ, we feast on roasted crabs & peppercorn crab. Of course he has so many friends, he needs two tables to hold us all!
The peppercorn crab was the standout star. I suspect because it is fried, it retains the hot, hot heat so it is cracklelacking steamy fresh.
The garlic noodles are always chewy, buttery goodness. We discover that the noodles topped with peppercorn is a crunchy hit!
Our first course of papaya salad was fresh, crisp & refreshing. The fried egg rolls were delicious and burn-your-mouth hot. Seabass was tender & gave a break from all the crabbing!
Such savory goodness was followed by a perfect finale. Ivy’s chocolate strawberry cupcakes were richly moist, the perfect sweetness with a light whipped topping.
This made the FBI (fried banana & ice cream) look like nothing. (We still ate the FBI though.)
Such fun to be with friends & feast to our heart’s content. Baby stayed with his grandparents so mom & dad could get down & dirty with the crab crackin’.
